Accessibility at KOTB Healthcare and RxK

Our approach

We want every person who needs a KOTB Healthcare service, and every pharmacy professional using RxK, to be able to complete the task without hitting a barrier. Accessibility work on these websites is ongoing.

Accessibility features

• A skip link to the main content on every page, and a single main landmark.
• Named navigation landmarks, so navigation can be reached directly by screen-reader users.
• Keyboard operation of the public site, the sign-in, registration and Request Services forms, and the signed-in workspace, including the mobile menu and sign out.
• Visible keyboard focus indicators that are not removed by our styles.
• Form fields with programmatic labels, and, where a validation error belongs to a specific field, an error that is programmatically associated with that field.
• A persistent status region on each form, so confirmations and errors are announced rather than appearing silently.
• Respect for the operating-system "reduce motion" setting.
• Status shown as text as well as colour.

Ongoing accessibility work

We have not completed an independent accessibility audit of these websites. This page describes our ongoing work; it is not a conformance claim or a certification of compliance with any WCAG level or accessibility legislation. Automated and expert review of the full product is planned; until that is complete, treat the list above as a description of intent and implementation, not as certified conformance.

Areas we already know need further review include colour contrast across the full public palette, long data tables in the signed-in workspace, and behaviour at very high browser zoom.

Report an accessibility barrier

If you cannot complete something on these websites, or you need information in another format, tell us so we can fix it and get you what you need in the meantime.

Use the contact form and choose “Accessibility feedback”. No account is needed. Open the contact form →

Account holders can also raise it from the secure account area.

Please include the page address, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you were using. Do not include patient information.
